Ethan's first new year! spent at home, of course.

yes.. i realize his clothes are still too big on him ^^; we figure he'll grow out of the clothes soon enough. noticed the bed doesn't have bed sheet.. that's because he made some instant fountain when we changed him. it's only his 2nd day home and we already washed the bed sheet 3 times! we finally took out the water proof pad and put it under his little butt afterwards to prevent similar incidents from happening.

Tada! the world premier of Ethan Jin Park (click on the pictures below for larger images)!



Well well.. thought no one was reading my blog so i was lazy in updating it. but! there's a new reason to update my blog everyday until i go back to work. My son Ethan Jin Park has arrived on 12/30/05 3:04pm. He was 7 lbs even and 19 3/4 inches long (or should i say tall ^^).

i wasn't able to go to sleep until 3:30am on 12/30/05. now that i think back, i think my contraction might've started early evening on 12/29/05 but it didn't hurt. i just felt my stomach tightening every now and then but didn't think much because i thought contractions were suppose to hurt. and it did hurt like @#$%! after my water broke at around 4:30am on 12/30/05. we arrived at the hospital just before 5am. i found out that i was already 5cm dilated. at 9am or so i was 8cm dilated and i opted for epidural as the pain was getting unbareable for the amount of rest i got (merely 1 hour of sleep) before the pain started. what a instant satisfaction for pain relief that was! i was able to take a nap for about 3 hours or so before the contraction built up. i was huffing and puffing by 2pm and an hour later it was all over. it wasn't as bad as all the horror stories i heard from my coworkers. i think i can do this again just one more time so Ethan has a playmate but no more after 2 ever!
